Mooreland Mansion is a stunning venue nestled in Kirtland, OH. This neoclassical mansion boasts expansive gardens, impressive columns, and breathtaking spaces for events. Originally built by William Edward Moore as a summer retreat for his family, Mooreland Mansion was designed in the late 19th century by local architect Arthur N. Oviatt. The estate initially spanned 1,000 acres and hosted notable figures, including Ignacy Paderewski, the Prime Minister of Poland. By the 1960s, much of the land had been sold, and the mansion was acquired by Lakeland Community College for their new campus. In 1993, the college's board of trustees approved a renovation to restore the mansion to its former glory. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Mooreland reopened in 1998 as a conference center operated by the college. The $3 million renovation preserved the historic charm of this magnificent structure while incorporating modern conveniences. Mooreland is now open to the community for meetings, conferences, banquets, and special events.
